1.
Pollen 03:17
White blossoms swirl before my eyes Intoxication under burning skies Cloaked and veiled, through fields I run Watching springtime’s shadows come Buried feelings arise Shedding filters and lies Through the passage of time As spring unveils, my fears complete the rhyme
2.
Dark Angels 04:13
The blackbird is watching, he inhales your grace Though shadows surround you, I accept your embrace Faith cannot help you here, your time has reached its end You’re falling asunder as angels descend We dance as the sky pierces red through the trees We’re spinning madly in this final breeze Though my false words comfort you, these wounds will never mend We’re falling asunder as angels descend Your pale eyes are changing at the close of the day The shouts in the playground slowly fading away Now the darkness calls to you, this disguise of silent pain We’re falling asunder like angels insane
3.
Ghost Years 04:30
Autumn falls, winter comes again Memories call, time’s true silent friend Yesterday, just like yesterday Hazy days, like a blinding sun Useless days, change is never done Yesterday, feels like yesterday
4.
Raven Eyes 03:52
The hazy light of morning falls upon this world of poisoned souls Destruction’s call is everywhere, the leaves are spinning through the air With a swirl of feathers, she appears, her face unchanged throughout these years Pale white and silent facing me, with eyes as black as the blackest sea, she calls She’s bringing hope to a fallen world, a world whose past lies torn and curled She’s crying now, she cries again for this lost race of dying men, she cries Clouds are gathering around the town, I watch the signs come crashing down The end of things I wait to see, an end to all this treachery She spreads her wings and takes to flight, a fire burning in the frozen night She fades away above the trees as poison flows again upon the sea Raven eyes
5.
Cloaked 03:57
Come take a walk I want to see I want to watch you passing by Come take a walk with me Down wooded paths we’ll go I’ll be there hidden as you pass by I’ll be there crouching among the leaves You’ll never know I’m at your side Come take a walk Don’t be afraid I want to see your pale white face I’ll make no sound here in the shade Don’t walk too fast I’m close behind No one hears your screaming now Don’t run away I’m close behind!
6.
The sky slams grey upon the world Autumn’s sickle flag unfurled With both hands held against the sky I stand alone as time slips by I watch this world of fools Where extreme indifference rules A smile burns across my face This human race Poison symbols forever turn They mark a time now long since burned Though high above in evening skies The drone of planes, the silent cries
7.
Colors spin across the sky On a silent April day Against the clouds I watch them fly As the light now fades to grey Soaring through a black and poisoned age Red markings on these wings of silent rage The dead leaves of the season past Move blindly through the land Alone and lost their shadows cast A trail of dust and sand Though in the trees a hidden world remains From age to burning age remains unchanged They watch and wait for final rains to fall Their cries will mark the silence over all
8.
Murder 03:25
Tommy stares across the field, there’s not a soul in sight His partner fumbles in the back, the air is cold tonight Car doors slam in unison, they carefully look around There’s no one in a thousand miles to watch them cross the ground They walk together side by side in silence, in the cold The icy stars which shine above revealing what they hold Tommy taps the frozen earth, he signals with his hands His partner lies the cargo down, they dig the frozen land Pale light rises in the distance behind a sea of corn They stand alone and stare ahead, two shadows in the storm Tommy hits the radio inside the stolen van His partner bows his shameless head and cleans the poison from his hands
9.
The Pathway 03:27
I found out long ago, while standing on the road The sound of insects humming in the dark, whisper out their secret codes ‘Cause when you baby tell me that it’s time to go home, it’s because the night has come Whilst waiting on the beachfront, I discovered a shadow Beyond the sea’s edge, glowing in the dark, a silence where black love grows ‘Cause when you baby tell me that it’s time to go home, it’s because the night has come I drove back at the break of dawn, pale light was rising in the sky I looked back towards the restless sea, its light reflecting in my eyes ‘Cause when you baby tell me that it’s time to go home, it’s because the night has come

Grey Sunday 04:52
I watch the rain, grey skies today I sleep alone, wrapped inside this dream Outside people walk in silence As water falls upon the earth I step outside into the garden Kneeling down in silent prayer I hear the trees, hissing echoes The leaves are falling on the pavement I see dark birds against the sky I watch as reason now deserts me I shed my skin and fade away

about

Passing Through Alone, Lundvall’s first full-length, was originally issued in 1997 on his Eternal Autumn Editions imprint. Engineered, mixed, and co-produced by his brother Kurt, and sold primarily at Lundvall’s gallery exhibitions, the album is an intriguing entryway to a world still dawning. Brooding and melancholic but distinctly more linear and melodic than later work, the songs flirt with the fringes of new romanticism, sketched in his signature palette of synth, sequencers, guitar, drum machines, and hushed, spectral voice.
